New Field Service Portal Enhancements
Create Invoices directly from the FSM Workflow, along with options to Open/Edit, View, Email, and accept payments using the “Pay Now” option. This access is managed via the “FSM Settings” tab in the User Profile to ensure proper authorization.
This improvement enables faster billing, seamless payment collection, and a better customer experience in the field.
What’s New?
Generate an Invoice from FSM Workflow: Users can tap “Generate an Invoice” to instantly create a formal Invoice (if permitted by the Administrator). Each Invoice includes:
- Linked Contact/Location for accurate Bill To and Ship To details
- The job’s base Billable Service is mapped to the Activity Record and configured with the correct SKU and billing rate by Service Type.
- All Products and Services marked as “Was Used,” along with Quantity Used and applicable Unit Price (editable if the user has permission)
Post-Generation Actions
Once the Invoice is generated, a 3-dot menu provides the following options:
- Open/Edit: Review and modify the Invoice before sharing with the client
- View: Display the generated Invoice on-screen for quick reference
- Email: Send the Invoice to the client using any predefined email template. The selected template opens with merged fields and the Invoice attached, allowing further edits of the email content before sending.
- Pay Now: Available when the Results Payments module is active. This option allows users to collect payment via credit card or ACH for a partial or the full balance due amount. Multiple payments can be accepted until the balance due is paid in full, including split payments across different payment methods.
