What is the Results Software Partner Program
The Results Software Partner Program is a three-tier revenue-sharing program designed to help consultants, system integrators, and technology advisors expand their service offerings to address more of their clients’ needs while generating substantial recurring revenue. Partners can refer customers, provide full sales and implementation services, or operate as a full-service solution provider through our various tiers.
What are the three partner tiers?
The three tiers are:
- Referral Partner: For consultants and advisors who identify and refer qualified opportunities (10-15% revenue share)
- Certified Partner: For organizations with 2+ staff who sell and help implement solutions
(20-25% revenue share) - Premier Partner: For established firms with 5+ staff who provide full-service solution delivery (30-35% revenue share)
Certification Program
What does the Results Certification involve?
Results Certification is a comprehensive training program designed to ensure partners can effectively recommend, sell and demonstrate the Results platform.
Program Details:
- Format: Self-paced online training course plus online exam
- Duration: Approximately 4 hours of training content (complete within 90 days of enrollment)
- Topics Covered: Platform overview, value proposition, competitive positioning, demo best practices, objection handling, pricing and packaging, discovery methodologies
- Exam: 25+ multiple-choice questions, 80% pass rate required, 2 retake attempts allowed
- Cost: Complimentary for Referral, Certified and Premier Partners
- Validity: Certification valid for 24 months
Recertification: 2-hour online refresher course plus 15+ question exam every 24 months.
Customer Satisfaction
How is customer satisfaction measured?
Customer satisfaction is measured through Results Software’s standardized Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) survey program:
Survey Methodology:
- Format: 5-question survey using a 1-5 star rating scale
- Timing: Sent 30 days after customer go-live/implementation
- Administrator: Conducted by Results Software
- Questions Cover: Product fit for needs, implementation quality, partner responsiveness, training effectiveness, overall satisfaction
Scoring Calculation:
- CSAT Score = Percentage of 4-star and 5-star ratings
- Minimum Sample Size: 2 completed surveys required for valid score
- Calculation Period: Quarterly, based on rolling 12-month average
Tier Requirements:
- Certified Partners: Maintain minimum 85% CSAT score
- Premier Partners: Maintain minimum 90% CSAT score
What happens if my customer satisfaction score falls below the required threshold?
We have a structured process to help partners improve their scores:
- First Quarter Below Threshold: Warning notice + joint improvement plan created with your Partner Success Manager
- Second Consecutive Quarter Below: Tier review meeting to assess root causes and develop action plan
- Third Consecutive Quarter Below: Tier realignment or program suspension (case-by-case evaluation)
Partner Support: You have access to your partner program manager, quarterly satisfaction reviews in business meetings, best practices from top-performing partners, and customer success coaching.
Revenue Share Payments
When are Revenue Share payments made?
Commission payments follow this schedule:
- Payment Frequency: Quarterly (within 30 days of quarter end)
- Calculation Basis: Collected revenue within that Quarter (after refunds and chargebacks)
- Revenue Share Calculations Report: Detailed report delivered by Results Software to show total revenue for Licenses and Services with a total Revenue Share earned for Quarter.
- Minimum Payout: $100 per quarter (amounts below $100 roll to next quarter)
- Payment Method: Results Software to pay invoice generated by the Partner for the confirmed and agreed-to Revenue Share owed, based on submitted report, for quarter.
- Tax Documentation: W-9 required for US partners, W-8 for international partners
Example: Q1 ends March 31. Partner commissions calculated on all collected revenue from Q1and detailed on report sent. Partner confirms report and issues invoice to Results. Payment of partner invoice issued by April 30.
Note: US partners earning $600+ annually will receive 1099 tax forms.
What is the 5% performance bonus and how do I earn it?
How do Year 2+ renewal commissions work?
Certified and Premier Partners earn ongoing renewal commissions on customers they originally placed, provided the partner actively places the renewal order each year:
- Certified Partners: 15% of renewal order value (licenses + services)
- Premier Partners: 20% of renewal order value (licenses + services)
- Ongoing: Continues in Year 3, 4, 5+ as long as partner places each renewal order
Important: If the partner does not place the renewal order in any year, renewal commissions stop for that customer. The partner must actively engage with the customer and place the renewal order to earn the commission. This incentivizes ongoing customer success and relationship management.
Example: Premier Partner places a $50K ARR deal in Year 1 (earns 30% = $15K). In Year 2, partner proactively reaches out to customer and places $50K renewal order (earns 20% = $10K). In Year 3, partner again places renewal (earns 20% = $10K). This continues indefinitely as long as partner places the order each year.
What is the difference between Results-delivered and Partner-delivered services?
This is a critical distinction that affects revenue share:
Results-Delivered Services:
- Definition: Customer care, custom programming, training, and other professional services delivered by Results Software staff
- Partner Revenue Share: Referral Partners 10%, Certified Partners 15%, Premier Partners 20%
- Example: Results Software performs a $20K implementation → Premier Partner earns $4K (20%)
Partner-Delivered Services:
- Definition: Implementation, configuration, training, custom development, and professional services delivered by the partner organization
- Partner Revenue Share: 100% – Partner keeps all revenue
- Example: Partner delivers a $20K implementation → Partner earns $20K (100%)
This structure strongly incentivizes Certified and Premier Partners to build implementation capabilities, as they can generate significantly more revenue by delivering services themselves rather than having Results deliver them.
Deal Registration & Protection
How does deal registration work?
Deal registration protects your sales investment by giving you exclusive rights to work a specific opportunity:
Registration Process:
- When to Register: Before any substantial customer engagement (ideally before first demo or proposal)
- Where to Register: Through the partner portal at www.results-software.com
- Required Information: Company name, primary contact, estimated ARR, expected close date, opportunity description
- Approval Timeline: Results Software approves or rejects within 2 business days
Protection Period:
- Initial Protection: 45 days from registration approval
- Extensions: Renewable for additional 45-day periods with documented sales progress
Maximum: 180 days total protection per opportunity.
What happens if two partners register the same opportunity?
Deal conflicts are resolved using clear priority rules:
- First Registration Wins: The partner who registers first (by timestamp) receives deal protection
- Duplicate Rejection: If an opportunity is already registered, subsequent registrations are automatically rejected with notice
- Customer Preference Exception: If the customer explicitly requests to work with a different partner or Results direct, the original registration may be overridden with partner notification
Inbound Leads After Registration: If a customer comes inbound to Results after a partner has registered them, the partner retains the deal at their current Tier for the quarter that the deal is closed/paid in.
Can Results direct sales team override my deal registration?

What are NFR licenses and how do I use them?
NFR (Not For Resale) licenses are complimentary Results Software licenses provided to Certified and Premier Partners for internal use only:
- Certified Partners: 5-user of the Results Platform License (Includes a Results Business, Field Service Management (FSM) and Timesheets bundled license.)
- Premier Partners: 10 user licenses of the Results Platform License (Includes a Results Business, Field Service Management (FSM) and Timesheets bundled license.)
- Permitted Uses: Internal CRM/project management, staff training, customer demonstrations, sales presentations
- Prohibited Uses: Reselling to customers, providing to customers as part of service delivery, using for customer production environments
- Term: 6 months, renewable based on partner performance and tier maintenance
- Additional NFR licenses can be earned through recognition programs and partner awards or subscribed to at a special 50% Partner Discount.
What is included in the partner portal?
The Results Software partner portal (Sign In from www.Results-software.com) provides:
- Deal Registration System: Register and track opportunities, view protection status, request extensions
- Resource Library: Sales collateral, marketing materials, technical documentation, certification courses
- Support Ticketing: Submit technical questions, request pre-sales assistance, escalate customer issues
- Co-Marketing Tools: Request co-branded materials, submit joint case study ideas, access social media content
Partner Directory Profile: Manage your listing on Results-Software.com/partners (optional for Certified/Premier).
Getting Started
How do I apply to become a Results Software partner?
The application process is straightforward:
- Step 1: Visit Results-Software.com/partners and click ‘Apply Now’
- Step 2: Complete and Submit the partner application form
- Step 3: Results Software reviews application within 3-5 business days
- Step 4: If approved, you’ll receive Partner Agreement and onboarding instructions
- Step 5: Sign Partner Agreement and complete onboarding (W-9 and portal access)
- Step 6: Schedule partner kickoff call with your dedicated Partner Success Manager
- Step 7: Begin certification training (if Certified or Premier) and register your first deal within 60 days
